5 pt (6th point was an extra $150) bar installed and the shop removed and replaced my interior. The material was cromoly (the whole set-up weighed 40lbs.) and cost $950. Absolutely no reason for them not to have the car Mon. and have it back to you on Fri. It's your $$$$ but I'd look around. A group of us in So. Cal. got them together and either painted them ourselves or hired someone to do it and match the color. A good fabricator could even make the cage in parts, send them out to get powdercoated and then install the parts, that would cost more but not even close to what you are being quoted.
